THE BENEFITS OF THERMOSTATIC MIXER

A thermostat is an essential part of a well-designed shower. Safe, convenient, and cost-effective, it ensures maximum enjoyment in the shower by protecting you and your family from the risk of scalding.

What is a shower thermostat?
The thermostat maintains a precise water temperature throughout your shower. It protects you from any sudden changes in water supply to the shower, so even if someone flushes a toilet or turns on the kitchen tap, the water temperature in your shower will remain the same.

How does a thermostat work?
The thermostatic valve blends hot and cold water at the pre-set temperature and reacts promptly to any changes in water pressure or temperature by readjusting the mix of hot and cold water. In case of a failure in the cold water supply, the thermostatic valve automatically shuts off.

What are the benefits?

  • Safety - The preset water temperature remains constant during your shower, so there is no risk of burns from sudden temperature increases and no unpleasant "surprises" if the temperature changes suddenly. GROHE CoolTouch® technology ensures that the outer surface is never too hot to touch.

  • Convenience - Our thermostats will maintain your preset water temperature, allowing you to relax and enjoy your shower. If you want to stop the water (e.g., to wash your hair), the thermostat will automatically find the exact same temperature when you resume the flow.

  • Economy - Install a thermostat and you can also save water and energy. Thanks to its performance, a shower thermostat will repay its cost in a short period of time. Use our water-saving calculator to find out how much you can save.

Thanks to their outstanding performance and GROHE TurboStat® technology, our thermostats have been top-ranked in many independent tests.
